The Dunkin’ Brands Community Foundation, in partnership with its franchisees, has offered to promote blood donation in the Northeast. All presenting donors at any Red Cross blood drive or donor center during the month of January 2008 will receive a coupon for one pound of delicious Dunkin’ Donuts coffee.

During this same time period, Dunkin’ Donuts franchises will actively fundraise at their local shops in support of the American Red Cross Blood Services. Donations collected at individual Dunkin Donuts shops will be pooled and used to purchase one or more bloodmobiles.

The month of January is also National Volunteer Blood Donor Month, a time when blood donors across the country are recognized for their lifesaving contributions to the health of others. We are excited to be partnering with the Dunkin’ Brands Community Foundation during this very special month.

The winter months pose their own special challenges. Coming directly after the holidays, the cold weather months mean inclement weather and colds and flu season – all factors which limit our ability to collect blood from volunteer donors. For those who have never given blood before, this is a great time to get to know just how easy it is to help save a life.
