An Unexpected Reaction
Windsor, VT
Rob Johnson of Windsor, Vermont had successful emergency surgery at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in the fall of 2002, but soon grew weak and developed a high fever. An unexpected reaction to antibiotics caused Rob's red blood cells to start dissolving. The situation soon became critical. Thanks to local blood donors, Rob returned to the hospital and received the six units of blood needed for his complete recovery. Although Rob has been a blood donor since he was a teenager, he now knows the importance of giving blood first hand. Rob and his family are extremely grateful for the donors who were there for him.
Thank you for helping Rob recover.
