Lindsay needed ongoing blood transfusions for four years to keep her strong through chemotherapy. Her parents are thankful for the generosity of people who give their blood to help make Lindsay better, but they always worry about whether there will be an adequate supply.

"I don't know what we'd do if the blood wasn't there. I don't know. What if it's you or what if it's your daughter or your son and they need blood to survive? How would you feel if the blood wasn't there?" - Damien Kuchta, Lindsay's dad.
