Benjamin's Story
Benjamin Randall
Life-threatening septic condition
Meet Benjamin Randall! Benjamin spent the first seven days of his life in the neonatal intensive care unit.
During his stay in intensive care, he received daily blood transfusions that helped him recover from a life-threatening septic condition.
Benjamin was delivered by emergency c-section. His mother, Suzanne Randall, began to bleed heavily during the surgery and required four units of blood and three units of plasma before the bleeding was brought under control.
Thanks to generous donors, the blood that young Benjamin and his Mom needed to survive was readily available.
Red Cross blood donors help patients just like Benjamin and Suzanne in cities and towns throughout New England and across the United States. Please….give blood. Together, we can save a life.
