My name is Debbie Miller and I live in Exeter, New Hampshire. I just wanted to write to say "Thank You." Six months ago I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy (my second). A week after having him, I started to hemorrhage. My husband rushed me to the hospital where I had to have multiple pints of blood (I think 8 in all). I had to have a hysterectomy to get the hemorrhaging to stop. After the surgery, I went into DIC, which required me to need more blood. I almost didn't make it.

I have given blood in the past and knew what a good thing it was, but now I know first hand how important it is! Without the Red Cross, I might not have made it and no words can thank you enough for all the effort you put forth for your blood drives.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you and all the employees and volunteers who help support the Red Cross. My children still have their mom thanks to the blood I received.

Blood donors who give blood through the Red Cross help patients like Debbie in cities and towns throughout New England and across the United States. Please….give blood. Together, we can save a life.
