Volunteer blood donors are the core of our organization, but some donors go above and beyond to plant the seed for future generations.

This spring, A Tree Grows In Bangor - at least on paper. The Bangor Red Cross Donor Center is now branching out to feature a Family Tree honoring those faithful donors who take saving lives so seriously that they always bring a family member with them.

Each time a donor family comes, they add an apple to the Family Tree. We hope to have the tree filled with sweet family donor apples by May 1, just in time for the real thing to be budding outside!

While we're hesitant to climb out on a limb, it would be great to see an entire orchard gracing the walls of the Bangor Donor Center eventually. So talk to your family tonight and visit us soon. We'd really like to see this program grow!
