I eventually outgrew that condition but never investigated whether I could give blood until the Bloodmobile parked at my office for a day of giving.

The Red Cross personnel were great to deal with and, as it turns out, I can and did give my first pint of blood with no pain, no fuss, no fainting!! I know there are more people like me who really don't have a good reason not to give..it just isn't on your personal agenda.
