Pizzario Uno Chicago Grill Encourages Blood Donations During Month of May
The American Red Cross Blood Services, Massachusetts Region and Uno Chicago Grill are joining together in a campaign to help patients in need by increasing the blood supply and raising awareness about the ongoing need for blood donors. The Pint for a Pizza campaign will run throughout the month of May - the start of the summer season when blood donations are often low.

Presenting blood donors at Red Cross blood drives in Massachusetts during the month of May will receive a coupon for one individual pizza, redeemable at Uno restaurants.

A kick-off event is planned on May 9 at the Uno corporate office, which is also hosting a mobile blood bus drive that day. Uno Chicago Grill will also contribute to the Red Cross Board of Directors blood drive on May 10th in Dedham, and Uno store employees will be present at various blood drives throughout the state during the month of May to promote the partnership.

Every day, there are thousands of patients in hospitals who rely on the generosity of volunteer blood donors so they can receive the treatments they need.

To donate blood through the American Red Cross, individuals must be at least 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in general good health. The state of Maine allows those who are 16 years of age to donate blood with parental consent. For additional information regarding eligibility, individuals are asked to call 1-800-GIVE LIFE.
