You've Got A Lot Of Life To Give
Share It With Someone Who Needs You!
New Hampshire senior citizens Phyllis Higgins and Jessie Atkinson are helping save lives. While these two energetic ladies might not be able to rescue someone from a burning building, they're more than capable of rolling up their sleeve to help a burn victim - or any other patient - who might need a blood transfusion to survive.
While the American Red Cross once had an maximum age limit for being a blood donor, that limit has been lifted. Anyone in good health who meets all eligiblity requirments can donate blood - even for the first time - no matter what age. Being on most medications does not prevent an otherwise healthy person from giving blood, especially if he or she has been on them for some time. Most medical conditions are also okay. If you're in doubt about whether or not you can be a blood donor, call us at 1-800-GIVE-LIFE or send an email with your questions.
Your help is needed now, more than ever before! Please consider becoming a Red Cross blood donor.
