Who Can Use The Donor Coach?

• This bus is a self-contained bloodmobile.
• It is available to any group with at least 25 individual pledges to donate.
• It provides a convenient donation opportunity for locations that do not have adequate indoor space.
• It can be scheduled for a corporate sponsor group or may be scheduled for the public.

• A parking area of 40 x 60 feet or 5 to 6 car spaces is needed. The bus is 37 feet long.
• Parking area must be fairly level and as close to the building as possible.
• Restroom must be nearby. The bus does not have running water or bathroom facilities.
• The bus must not be parked in a fire lane or handicapped parking.
• Available space is needed inside the building for donor waiting and registration.
• An area should be available for staff breaks and lunches.

• A blood drive coordinator
• Coordinator needs to recruit and schedule the volunteer blood donors and work closely with a representative from the Red Cross.
• Due to limited space on the bus, scheduling of donors is of the utmost importance.
• Coordinator must be available on the day of the blood drive.
• If possible, the sponsor should provide registration volunteers.

• All recruitment materials, such as posters, flyers, payroll stuffers and appointment schedules.
• Ideas and suggestions which have proven successful.
• All equipment and refreshments.
