Local Blood Donor Wins One Year Dodge Charger Lease
Lucky Summer Red Cross Raffle Winner Determined
Goss Dodge and the American Red Cross Blood Services, Northern New England Region revealed the winner of the 2006 Dodge Charger featured at Red Cross blood drives throughout Vermont and northern New Hampshire this summer on September 12 on the Church Street Marketplace in Burlington.
Ian Davies, a resident of Hinesburg and an IBM employee, was the lucky winner. The real winners, however, are the patients in area hospitals who had a sufficient blood supply during the challenging summer months.
Representatives from Goss Dodge and the American Red Cross joined five finalists to determine which lucky person would drive away with a new car. A one year lease on the Charger was donated by the Burlington-based auto dealership to encourage volunteer blood donations during the difficult summer months.
The five finalists were given keys by Brian Hoar, General Manager of Goss Dodge. Mr. Davies held the key which successfully opened the door to the 2006 model Charger, signifying the winner of the car.
The other finalists included Ginger (Jen) Isham, Williston; Jeanette Berry, Colchester; Paul Haines, Jeffersonville and Don Carpenter, Essex Junction.
Thank you, Goss Dodge, for helping to assure a plentiful blood supply this summer!
